Reissued to mark the 50th anniversary of the composer’s death, O praise the Lord of heaven was first heard in 1913 at St Paul’s Cathedral. It is a bold, antiphonal anthem, in the same rich idiom as the Fantasia on the Theme of Thomas Tallis, and an ideal piece for performance in a large resonant acoustic.
