Live Performance
Performances of a work in a public concert, broadcasting, or streaming a recording or performance from a website are licensed in the UK by PRS for Music and its affiliated societies overseas. This does not include works written for the stage (eg. an opera or ballet) or written for concert performance but will be used with staged action, lighting, or dance. These works are referred to as Grand Right works and application for performance must be made directly to Stainer & Bell. Recordings
CD Recordings and other physical or on-line digital products are licensed through the Mechanical Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) or its affiliated societies overseas.
Hymn Texts and Tunes
Stainer & Bell belongs to CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) whose licences cover a variety of local, non-commercial uses. If CCLI operates in your country and your church holds a valid licence, you will be able to use our copyright hymns under the terms of their licences.
If the church where the material is to be used does not hold a current CCL licence or the use is outside the terms of those licences then application for local, non-commercial use can be made using this form. For commercial use see next section.
