One of the classic songs of the 20th-century vocal repertoire, John Ireland’s Sea Fever is a simple strophic setting of an evocative poem by John Masefield (1878-1967), playwright, novelist and poet laureate.

Ever popular at festivals and recitals, Sea Fever is equally suited to the male or female voice. Versions in E, F, G, and A minor are available, and an attractive arrangement for baritone solo, TTBaB and piano by Mansel Thomas has been published (Ref: W179).
