An authentic edition by the Austrian musicologist Eusebius Mandyczewski (1859–1929) based on the research of the eminent Beethoven scholar Gustav Nottenbohn (1817–1882). A forerunner of the modern scholarly Urtext, this finely produced 19th-century Augener edition was reprinted in 1977.
