Finding Your Home is a celebration of the times that I shared with the three other composers on the National Youth Choir’s Young Composers Scheme of 2023, and with the NYC Fellows. Through them, I learnt that there is always someone out there who is on a similar wavelength to yours, that it is OK to have deep conversations, and to learn and grow through encountering different perspectives on things, or things that you perhaps have not realised, or have realised but not heard expressed in such a way. This is how you discover with joy a clearer understanding of yourself, through joyful friendships with others. I call this ‘finding your home’.
