Jan Berry (b.1953)

Jan Berry is a minister of the United Reformed Church who has been writing hymns and prayers, particularly using feminist imagery, for many years. She has published resources for worship in various anthologies, and a collection of her own work is published as Naming God (URC Granary Press/Magnet, 2011). She teaches pastoral and practical theology at Luther King House in Manchester, and for three years worked half-time as the Director of The Centre for the Study of Theology and Health at Holy Rood House. She leads quiet days and workshops in creative writing, where she enjoys giving others space and opportunity to develop their creativity in worship and prayer.
